Using a GPRS or Analog connection to the internet without SkyDSL is very slow and can be very expensive.

A connection is made via your mobile phone, Trac phone or landline through your ISP (Internet Service Provider) (MoviStar, Telefonica, Orange or Vodafone ES) and the incoming data comes back via the SkyDSL satellite with speeds of up to 1mb (megabyte) per second, or 4mb per second depending upon which level you subscribe too.

Broadband internet via satellite, this is how it works!

Below you will see a diagram to show you how it works. The way this system works is by using your mobile, Trac or landline as your outgoing connections and the satellite system is your incoming connection so in simple terms when you go to internet explorer and type in a web address and click go it sends the request out over your mobile, Trac or landline and the page is sent back via the satellite so you get broadband speeds. So downloading is done by the satellite and sending an email will be sent over your mobile, Trac or landline.
