Port forwarding through two routers is a bit more complex than port forwarding through one router. Here is a picture of a double routed network.
Port Forwarding with two routers
The first router you see is the ADSL Router and has an internal IP address (192.168.0.1) and an external IP address (Provided by your ISP).

The second router (Router 2) also has an internal IP address (192.168.5.1) and an external IP address (192.168.0.2). The external IP address connects to the WAN (Wide Area Network) which is usually the Internet connection. The internal IP address connects the router to the local network where your computers are connected.

Now we want to forward ports from the WAN of the ADSL Router to a computer connected to Router 2 on LAN2. To do this we need to forward the ports in the ADSL Router to the second router (Router 2) external IP address. In this example we would log into the ADSL Router and forward ports to 192.168.0.2. It is important to note that to connect to the ADSL Router web interface you will most likely need to have a computer connected directly into the ADSL Router to carry out this task.

The next step is to forward the ports from your second router (Router 2) to the computer you plan on running the program that needs the ports forwarded. In our example we would log into the second router (Router 2) and then forward ports to 192.168.5.2.

The computer that the ports are being forwarded to needs a static IP address for this to work correctly. If you do not have a static IP address on the computer then the ports you have forwarded will stop working as when you us Dynamic IP address, the IP address can and will change. So it is important to setup a static IP address on the computer you are forwarding ports too.
The same applies to your second routers (Router 2) external IP address, so you will need to set the WAN IP address to a Static IP address.
